To be frank, this movie seems less impactful the more times that I see it, despite how moving the story is. And I think part of that is the closer I pay attention the more it feels like Will Smith’s performance, as good as it is, leaves me wanting more/feels like he held back. Not sure if that’s just me or not. I definitely don’t say this to mean this isn’t still a really good movie overall either.
The ending still leaves me teary-eyed though.
