Interesting if tonally uneven Italian "birth of a superhero" flick that reminded be a lot of the PS video game, Infamous. It's dark and bleak and it makes it really hard to root for your hero for a good chunk of the first couple acts. Considering he's a low-rent thug to begin with that probably shouldn't be too much of a surprise. Fortunately, he runs afoul of a pure sociopath and the question of who to side with becomes moot. His first true hero moment is rather uplifting leading to a showdown with the bad guy with real stakes and lives on the line. I appreciated the downbeat mood and the real world trappings. It felt as genuine as a movie like this can probably get. Good job.
