Higgins’s review published on Letterboxd:
A decent first film from writer, director and producer Grant Sputore who got Rose Byrne and Hillary Swank to buy into his vision enough to take a chance on him. This sci fi film proudly wears its influences on its sleeve. Executing an effective cinematic experience, I Am Mother’s fatal flaw is in the fact that the clever twists lack substance when all is says and done. A decent first effort and reason to see what Sputore has up his sleeve for round two.
