Thought this was incredibly underwhelming. There's just something so bland about these medium budget american studio films, they all look the same and have equally little to say (this one reminded me particularly much of last years The Invisible Man). It's just the amazingly uninspiring cinematography, that they somehow wanna trick you into thinking is good because of the overly styled production design and costuming which just makes the whole thing look like a netflix show. While there are some very suspenseful moments that really manage to pull you in, there is no emotional core, no character that's realistic or interesting enough to make you care for them. And it doesn't really say anything new either, it claims to be radical and controversial, but only really to a crowd that would like to see themselves that way.
