this film is everything. a fight for power and status in the form of a royal lesbian love triangle and some of the most stunning cinematography and camerawork i've ever seen. and all of this with a clever and hilariously witty screenplay. it's masterfully crafted in every way.
i love the characters so much. these female characters are all so different and interesting and have nothing whatsoever to do with men. they're funny, gritty and disgusting. the male characters in this film are (well written) accessories and plot devices. it's very refreshing to see.
and every outfit where rachel weisz is wearing pants is literally THE sexiest thing i've ever seen in my entire life.
