HKFanatic’s review published on Letterboxd:
"Temple of Doom" is a picture that feels imbued with the pathos of its creators - it's been widely reported that George Lucas was going through a divorce at the time, while Steven Spielberg endured a breakup - and it's all the better for it. The character of Indiana Jones is adaptable and this darker tone suits him well. In comparison with "Raiders," Indy experiences a full blown character arc here: from opportunistic 'gravedigger' to empathetic hero. By the time the Raiders March kicks in at the end, Jones has genuinely earned it.
