So I appreciate this similar to the extent that I appreciate Blade Runner. It's a pioneer in techniques and story structure, and changed many norms within the film world. But it also didn't resonant with me as much as I hoped.

This story is timeless, well presented and fairly entertaining. The cinematography and set design is also fantastic for its time. The intro is very jarring which threw me off and I honestly did not know how cheesy this meant…

The script is pure out awful.
Plot convenience (specifically one with a rifle towards the end of the film. No sense made at all with that.)
Mom delusions got a little over the top.
Tacked on Romance plot.
Lack of logic throughout.
Predictable
