2018 really is a great year for progressive, politically motivated films, and Blindspotting might be the best one yet. Funny yet eye opening, and has no problem being straightforward about the horrors black people face in modern day America. Daveed Diggs gives a powerful performance, and his rapping skills make an effective appearance as well (shout out to clipping.). I really do think Blindspotting is one of the most important films this year, so go watch it if it’s playing near you.
