The first 5-10 minutes were great, but the story couldn't keep the momentum going for the whole run time. If I had felt an emotional connection to either of the characters I would have liked it more. Props to the sound design.
shares a similar energy to korine's previous film spring breakers, but somehow feels much less relevant in today's context. that's okay because it is again a uniquely absurd and often hilarious comedy. the film's best moments are shared between moondog and the fantastic guest stars. my main grievance with the movie is that moondog alone is a bit of a drag.
