Craig J. Clark’s review published on Letterboxd:
"We just got taken down by a monkey the size of a building."
"That was an unconventional encounter."
Prep for Godzilla vs. Kong. Probably not strictly necessary, but I enjoyed seeing the King in action, and John C. Reilly is -- as plenty of others have already pointed out -- a delight. Seriously, the guy doesn't show up until 46 minutes in and his character owns the film from that point on.
I also got a chuckle out of the moment right at the top when John Goodman alights from a taxi in the midst of an anti-war demonstration in 1973 and says, "Mark my words, there'll never be a more screwed-up time in Washington." Right.
