James S’s review published on Letterboxd :
I always fall asleep during the The Fog and it's not just because it moves slower than other Carpenter flicks. It's usually because I always put it on late at night. And well I'm an old man now.
What I love about this and most of Carpenter's works is his love of the widescreen. The Fog looks gorgeous, much better than most horror films of the time and I know it was Carpenter's desire to make it look grander than it should but goddamn, does it look great.
Not one of my favourite Carpenter films but he always evokes an atmosphere than few have done consistently since.
