The most fun I've had at the movies in a long time. Check out my full review on HORROR ADDICTS youtu.be/T8N2z8m4lsM
This one left me with a lot to think about which I appreciated though I feel that central theme of the film, that human beings are hard-wired to self-destruct, is a bit simplistic.
What I most enjoyed were the horror elements particularly the creatures the characters encounter. There are also few scenes that seem inspired by Ridley Scott's Alien that I loved. Also, mad props for this badass female ensemble cast!
Overall, a great film and one to watch.
Very disturbing and difficult to watch. Sort of a study in domestic violence and abusive, controlling relationships. It's filmed beautifully, the acting is great and it's well-paced. In fact, it feels almost too real at times and makes you feel dirty for watching it.
This isn't the kind of film you watch to enjoy and I doubt it's one I'll ever rewatch, but I'm sure Hounds of Love will stick with me for some time.
