I'm a little torn about this one and will definitely need to rewatch. there's no doubt the film is well crafted in all the technical aspects and is carried by some superb acting. However, the message, or messages or whatever the hell the film is trying to say comes across as far too ambiguous. No, i don't need to be spoon-fed all the answers, I like to do my own thinking as i watch films, but much of this film feels like it's trying to do and say too much to the point where it's not saying very much at all. Many of the scenes feel disconnected almost like short sketches that are being spliced together into a movie. I left feeling disappointed but definitely intrigued so for now i can't give the film a star rating until i rewatch.
