Showtime's glorious answer to Tales from the Crypt! It's so sad that this didn't spawn a proper anthology series. The first segment is genuinely eerie, the second completely hilarious, and the third wildly creative - and all three are bookended by the greatest horror director the world has ever known, hamming it up Cryptkeeper style in a spooky morgue. What's not to love?

The Rocky Horror Picture Show 1975
My first time seeing this all the way through - on its birthday, no less!
I liked it. I'm not much of a musical guy but the creativity and the performances (especially Tim Curry) were simply too good to ignore.

Jennifer's Body 2009
Hooptober 5 #8: Jennifer's Body (2009)
Today I finally marked Jennifer's Body off my bucket list.
If anyone needs me, I'll be working on a time machine so I can go tell 2009 me to stop being a hater and watch this movie immediately because it's kind of, like, completely awesome?
It's funny, it's clever, it's endlessly entertaining, and there are even a handful of genuinely creepy parts! Sure it's basically just Ginger Snaps for the other end of the '00s, but who cares? It rocks.

Seance 2021
Supernatural slashers are my jam so of course I loved this movie! The actors were good, the music was great, and the mystery kept me on my toes all the way up to the epic finale. I strongly recommend seeking this out on VOD or, at the very least, making a point to see it when it hits Shudder.
