Hannah Hughes’s review published on Letterboxd:
This was the best Marvel movie I’ve seen in such a long time! Visually, it was absolutely stunning, the scenes were indescribably pretty to the point where I audibly said “ooooh” and “ahhhh” at some parts. The sweeping score was perfect accompaniment to the glorious imagery, and for me, our villain in this story had more purpose then out of the one-off joes we see in most of these movies, and Simu Liu was born to play Shang-Chi, which he did to absolute perfection. The fight choreography was out of this world, some of the best fights in the MCU if not in any movies I’ve seen in general. The only thing I didn’t really like was Awkafina as Katy, but even that grew on me by the end of this stunning masterpiece. A MUST WATCH for Marvel Fans! Not to mention, there were plenty of fan-service cameos (that still made enough sense to be plausible) and the best post-credit scene I have seen to date. Welcome to the MCU Shang-Chi, this movie is in a league of its own.
