Decided to rewatch 8½ because upon my original viewing, I wasn't sure what to make of it but I was sure that I wasn't a big fan. Well, it's safe to say that the film got a lot better this time around and I'm glad because of it, yet that self-indulgence and personal uninterest I mentioned in my past review still unfortunately bothered me.

Seems like rewatches are almost always helpful since in this second viewing, I sort of liked 8½ and I definitely appreciated it more, not to mention the fact that I finally assigned a numerical rating to the film but while I may still not completely love Federico Fellini's magnum opus, I do have a ton of respect for it. Going to try to rewatch 8½ once again around the end of the year for the Criterion Challenge to see if anything will change within my thoughts and I am hoping that there will be changes.
