i knew like immediately i was going to love this and i did. and for a while it was shooting for a 5 star rating, though about 60-70% in my investment started to slip, but in the end they got me again. i see myself certainly rewatching this and changing my rating accordingly.
Evan Rachel Wood is everything to me and unfortunately and i mean VERY unfortuantely Gina Rodriguez was kind of great in this… :(
i love how this movie tackled grief and the aftermath of trauma. i liked how, though obviously focussed on Jenna Ortega’s character, it showed so many different perspectives and paths. no two responses and processes are the same, and this did a good job showcasing that. it showed the shifts in dynamics and how this impacts the people around you. it handled such a complex matter with such care, i really do love this film. it wasn’t too bleak, dark…
