Kim Ki-duk is back! This is absolutely one of his best from the last ten years. I think he almost got stuck in his own tracks in his previous films in the last decade. but now has gotten back to what we in Sweden call "perfekt fingertoppkänsla" (sure instinct). When I go to parks sometimes, I often sit down on a bench and just following strangers lives on a Sunday afternoon, only observing. Paterson is just like that and it's so nice to join this poet/bus driver for one pretty ordinary week. Saw it at the Cinema on Friday right after a horrible week at work and Paterson pretty much put me back together again and I entered the weekend with a good mood. On top of that I really liked the poetry too.
