Another reminder of how stupid we are when teenagers.
Movie takes you in right away. And leaves a lot of food for thoughts afterwards. Loved the ending, a nice touch of our time. Sharp dialogues, glances full of emotions. Really strong performance from everyone, but can definitely see why Florence Pugh is considered a new power in acting, the most amazing character growth and accurate depiction of different ages.
This movie for me can be evaluated from two standpoints – technical implementation and the story.
Technically speaking, it's hella intense! Continuous frames allow you to grasp more details and surrounding, providing more context but also overwhelming. If you are really paying attention, you can notice 3-4 obvious cuts, but actually it was even harder – they had huge amount of cuts that they then made to look continuous – cannot even decide what is more challenging. Loved the way this movie was made – so much was said through context, no additional commentary, pure observation clear of judgement. And in the end of each story I couldn't help but think how damn lucky I am to be born in a certain circumstances that don't push me to rely on anyone else to survive.
