Ian Curran’s review published on Letterboxd:
The one where Bond becomes Jacques Cousteau.
By the 4th instalment the Bond franchise was suspended in a mid air shark jump (pun not intended).
It’s cheesy. It’s colourful. Its innuendos are penetrating (pun intended).
On a serious note, I can see why some Bond fans hold this movie in such high regard. It shamelessly embraces the Bondness of it all, which is oddly endearing, and dare I say, comforting.
Connery’s wig guy should’ve won an Oscar. That’s real movie magic right there.
