Ian Rogers’s review published on Letterboxd:
"I guess I'll see you in the movies."
OK. If someone had told me this was a 'musical' before I went to go see it, I would probably have abstained. Still, the musical elements were judiciously applied in this otherwise perfect movie. Wholesome, old-fashioned romance fit for the whole family, I kept digging for ways to critique this film, but it kept knocking me down with incredible acting, poignant script, stunning costume, lighting and set design, impeccable and creative cinematography and the delivery of timeless themes that did not come across as cliche. Like Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers were to star in a modern remake of Casablanca without the war. You'll laugh, cry and swoon at this one. Worth multiple rewatches.
