    "Existence is a fleeting illusion.”
    - Gaspar Noé

I'm not going to pretend and say that I think Gaspar Noé is a genius filmmaker. This is only the second movie I've seen from him, after Love, which I certainly found unique but also forgettable and bland. After reading raving reviews of Climax, I was very excited to experience this flick.

“The life you live is the story you tell.”

Val is a really interesting, intimate and well-edited documentary of the person that is Val Kilmer. We see him in his youth, making home movies with his brother, and in more recent years as he’s living with (the lasting effects) of throat cancer and other personal struggles.

    Those Who Wish Me Dead

    “I hate this fucking place.”
    “It hates you back.”

Kinda disappointed that Those Who Wish Me Dead wasn’t good at all. I have liked almost all of Taylor Sheridan written and directed stuff (haven't seen Yellowstone, though), so was really looking forward to this.

And seeing Angelina Jolie in a lead role after such a long time, my curiosity was piqued. Bernthal and Gillen were fine as always but their characters, along with everyone else, were written very badly. Their…
