Minari ★★★★

Crept and crept and crept up on me until all at once it hit. A gorgeous film, a spiritual film, a film that, on the surface, dares to dream the American Dream, while only existing because of displacement caused by American intervention in Korea. Those wide-open fields of potential and heavenly skies of faith make Minari feel ultimately universal in our need for roots, family, work, but also the desperation of just keeping your head above water, no matter what.
