"Oh, I fucking love fingerling potatoes!"

The production design was out of this world (which was expected from the del Toro universe). The rest of the film was underwhelming and predictable.

That girl needs a PRN. Geesh.

Brittany S. Hall was outstanding. However the screenplay was a bit rough. I felt the royalty free music often came out of nowhere and didn't match the tone of the film.

Well, that can't be unseen. It was supposed to be completely ridiculous bordering on hilarious, right?

Not sure I would have watched this again, but watched it with my parents.

What an odd little gem of a film. Rough around the edges, but the sisters at the heart of the story are endearing.

Good, not great.

I just finished reading the book and the changes made for the film are appalling. It completely changes nearly every interpersonal relationship. Charles is considerably less likable.
I remember this being my introduction to Ben Whishaw and he was just as wonderful this viewing.

Was the entire Ana de Armas part of the film in the trailer? She was a delightful spark in a what was a far too long goodbye to Craig.

Visually spectacular, but lacked excitement.
