“anything decorated to express ideas or feelings is called a mural.”
god, this was so beautiful. agnès saw the world in a magical light, which allowed her to see and find beauty in what most people would think of as ordinary things.
to see all the different cultures and people paint in different ways, about different subjects was fascinating. and how they did it to express themselves, what they like and are passionate about, or to express beliefs, love, pride, misery, anger, violence, etc. along with the people who painted them, telling the story or context behind them. i love how each mural in the film existed at that moment in time, but how now completely different murals stand in their place, and in the future, there will be others to come with unrelated stories and meanings behind them.
