A beautiful portrait of 4 women just living their daily lives.
Certain Women is another very quite, mundane film by Kelly Reichardt. I saw Night Moves last month and enjoyed it for what it was. But one thing I loved the most was Reichardt's direction.
That is also the main reason why I love this film so much, a huge step up from Night Moves.
But not just Reichardt shines here, all the actresses do too. There isn't much for everyone to do but just play a regular woman in the regular world. Nothing more to it, but I liked that. Not all lives has a major turn around, but are just normal like the rest of us. And I love that Kelly spotlight these characters because they deserve just as much attention.
