I sincerely believe that to see good films is one of the most profoundly civilizing experiences we can have as people.

A pretty terrifying first hour or so that had me loving every panicked second, followed by a jumbled 3rd act and an ending that did not stick the landing for me. The personal themes could’ve been fleshed out more to make for a more powerful end. I’m very impressed with Kaitlyn Dever especially give the considerable lack of dialogue she gets.

This movie is really only concerned with killing nazis and I’m okay with that. Short, sweet, and to the ultra-violent point.

Martin McDonagh knows how to do dark, existential comedy so well, it hurts. Literally. His movies actually pain me sometimes, but dammit if I don't love them.

A beautifully tragic story about friendship, loss, and the desire to give meaning to our existence. I will be thinking about this movie for a long time. The performances from everyone here are Oscar-worthy. Farrell and Gleeson have the most amazing chemistry of any two male actors, maybe ever. Kerry Condon shines as Siobhan, the level-headed, quick-witted sister. And Barry Keoghan is as odd as ever, yet shockingly profound.

    Incredible film, all around.
