88:88 ★★★★½

88:88 is a complete sensory overload; with some of the most dazzlingly intricate and spectacular visual and audio editing I've witnessed. It's a mesmerizing experience as a variety of audio clippings and footage fly past, each one feeling so relevant and deliberate. Medina's film, on top of the ridiculously detailed and singular craft, feels raw and personal. I was emotionally engaged throughout, despite a lack of traditional characters, and the combination of honest humanity with wild visual experimentation makes it feel simultaneously grounded and otherworldly.
