This film is an absolute powerhouse with story that holds no punches. The ensemble cast are fantastic and electrifying in their performances. Daniel Kaluuya, LaKeith Stanfield, and Dominique Fishback did well in portraying these characters in the intensity surrounding the Black Panther Party. The use of suspense and tension kept me on edge from the first frame to the last. The writing and cinematography pulls you in without letting you go as it captures the feel of the late 1960s. Director Shaka King delivers so well with his vision and captures the audience's attention with a powerful message and story. A story so important in its revelance as it pertains to violence and discrimination in the justice system. This accomplishes in showing those themes in a very raw and brutal way. Without a doubt one of the best films of the year.
