I've seen over 11,000 movies in my life (mostly Jurassic Park) and I don't plan on stopping.
In so many blockbusters today (even the good ones), the stakes are so obscenely high that it's almost impossible to care about them at times. Once you've seen a new city get obliterated every Friday, they all start to blur together. Ant-Man, on the other hand, eschews the city destroying action climaxes of other films and it actually comes off as refreshing. Add in a great and charismatic performance from Paul Rudd, and you've got an entertaining as Hell movie.
P.S. Hating this movie because it's not directed by Edgar Wright is unfair and idiotic.
A stunningly dull movie. After seeing Phenomena and it's wonder chimp, this comes off as even more dull. Ronald Reagan's performance in this is the worst thing he's ever done... aside from Iran-Contra... and letting the AIDS crisis happen by inaction... and laughing about it... and firing striking air traffic controllers... and the "welfare queen" smears... and his support of Pol Pot... and visiting that Waffen SS graveyard...
