I get why this movie got snubbed at the Oscars. I have no doubts that the comedy here likely flew way over the heads of the old white dudes in the Academy. But goddamn are they missing out because this movie is funny.
I teared up at the end because the resiliency and determination that Rudy has to making things happen for himself and uplifting others is so beautiful and kind and even more pressing today. Just goddamn. Such a good movie.
