Terrific, terrific film. One of those biopics which benefits largely from a non-linear narrative — there's no other way it could have been this effective and leave such a powerful impact by the end otherwise. Vicky Kaushal was exceptionally brilliant as Udham Singh himself, most definitely his career best performance. Irrfan Khan would be proud!

The last hour was so horrific, I literally couldn't breathe. I've read about the Jallianwala Bagh massacre so much since I was a kid, but the scene recreations in here shattered my heart all over again — big credits to the stunning production design for making it look probably as brutal as it originally was.

Shoojit Sircar is back with a bang. Go watch the film but be prepared for a massively enraging and emotionally exhausting ride.
