Christopher Perkins’s review published on Letterboxd:
For a film about a comic book vampire, Morbius is curiously devoid of any personality. There’s a lack of genuine scares, humor, thrills….you name it! None of the characters are particularly interesting nor are their relationships. The love interest is bland. The antagonist is neither freighting or a real opposing threat (his bizarre dance scene is Spider-Man 3’s level of cringe). The two cops are basic caricatures with no chemistry. Plus the titular character is rather dull himself. Morbius isn’t offensively bad, but it sure is boring. The story, CGI, & after credit stingers are less to be desired. It’s the kind of movie someone watches once and forgets about in a week….a day…maybe an hour. Please DON’T make a sequel!
