I love Scorsese. Brilliant movie.
"Right after I got here I ordered some spaghetti with marinara sauce. And I got egg noodles and ketchup."
I haven't been a fan of horror at all. I'm still not.
But I think this hyper-realist style, where everything is raw, gritty, and explicit, is the best and most harrowing form of horror. It's almost a documentary of a descent into madness. We don't even need the dialogue, just watching these characters alone gives a sense of the torment which begins to afflict them.
I really enjoyed the unique style of filming and editing used. Very unique and refreshing.
