Hoop-tober Extra #5
Brilliant parody/homage from the master of that particular sub genre. Probably the best looking comedy of all time, thanks to Gerald Hirschfeld's gorgeous black and white photography. Kahn and Feldman are brilliant here... The world lost them both much too soon. Wilder, Boyle, Leachman & Garr round off one of the great comedy ensembles ever.
Mel Brooks finished off one of the great single years for a director in film history (his other masterpiece, Blazing Saddles came out the same year) with an absolute classic.
