Luke’s review published on Letterboxd:
For most of this film, I wasn't enjoying it as it seemed to me that the movie itself didn't know what it wanted to be. For a comedy, it wasn't too funny; for the horror, it wasn't scary at all.
And then the last 30 minutes came, and somehow, I could see the... light? Or, in this case, the darkness? The Lost Boys is not a perfect film by any means, but it wins you over with its earnestness towards the end.
I wouldn't be surprised if I liked it more future rewatch a bit more. Also, many things age this film (like the haircuts) but the vampire make-up (mostly) holds up.
