InSession Film - JD Duran’s review published on Letterboxd :
THE GIRL WITH ALL THE GIFTS is a moody, entrancing zombie movie that explores the definition of what it means to be alive, by taking familiar zombie tropes and rearranging them. In the end, it's not traditional notions of humanity that survive, but rather hope comes from a different angle. We also see this idea at play - that no matter what defines us - we are capable of good and bad. This is something genre films have tackled before, but the way this film re-examines that idea is fascinating.
That said, there are character motivations and illogical actions that do stifle the overall experience.
