Gramercy Riff’s review published on Letterboxd:
Mediocre. For a stand-alone slasher that is. But it isn't and it makes sure you never forget that with numerous flashbacks to and survivors from part one. Typically inane sequel writing. What's wrong with simply throwing in a fresh family or a random bunch of kids and go from there? Also, Craven doesn't manage to recreate the dirty atmosphere and viciousness that made the original such a horrifying experience. By the looks of it he barely even tried. Beast is still a hero though. Dog flashback. Sure, why not.
