Gramercy Riff’s review published on Letterboxd:
The Singapore noir starring Bette Davis as what appears to be a cold blooded killer. The main attraction judging by the poster. I have too disagree, I'm afraid. Didn't find her character that interesting, didn't enjoy her melodramatic performance either. Never believed her charming or even her shrewd side. It's the eerie Mrs. Hammond who steals the show and every scene she's in. Someone who oozes danger. Another striking aspect of the film is Wyler's use of location, lighting and such. Other than that not very enthralling.
