Joseph’s review published on Letterboxd:
This was dreamy as fuck.
This film felt like the best and most calm amalgamation of Apichatpong Weerasethakul, Wong Kar-wai, and Gaspar Noé's meandering camera-as-actor, all set amongst a beautiful Murakami dreamscape. You know I'm absolutely here for an hour-long dream sequence which was filmed in one continuous take to close out the film. I eat that kind of shit up.
The color pallette was popping. You really can't beat that emerald dress with the red toes combination can you?
Give me more Bi Gan please.
I'm taking my long journey to bed now and I hope I dream of spinning table tennis paddles and of flying like Peter Pan and Wendy over foggy London town. [UPDATE] I did not.😢
