If any movie could solve the renewable energy problem, it’s Stop Making Sense. Electric currents shoot out of every shot, every cut, every note, every manic David Byrne dance move. It’s a rare concert film that places as much emphasis on ‘film’ as it does ‘concert’; blocked and lit for the camera as much as the live audience, the passionate performers grooving and moving though an endless succession of playful frames, towering shadows and witty edits. Magic. 10/10
