Having watched most of Midnight Mass this very morning, I thought I should spend my evening with Judy and Gene in a fun musical romp. Of course, it's never less than entertaining- it's Judy and Gene! I thought it was a fun farce, however the score was somewhat weak. Still an enjoyable movie though.
I'm crying like a baby.
Sorry, but I'm about to get personal. My parents divorced when I was 5. From that point on I had to hear my father and step-mother constantly criticize my mother for the littlest things, relentlessly implying that she wasn't raising me right. Like she was embarrassing and I was embarrassing.
My mom did everything for me. From the time I was 5 up til now- she raised me right. She did a damn good job.…
Took me one evening and one morning to finish it- not due to any unwillingness on my part, but the copy on ok.ru was getting so impossibly blurry I quit. Still, even with this adversity, I loved the movie very much. I also find it very interesting that Lana Turner is the last one billed above the title while she's clearly the protagonist- the movie is so fascinated by Sheila's rise and fall that Judy and Hedy end up being sidelined. What a perfect woman's picture!
