You can definitely see Joe Wright’s directing, he did a great job; Gary Oldman is fantastic as Winston Churchill; And everything else was done exceptionally well. However, I thought the script was very poorly written, the characters were all very bland and boring, likewise with the writing as well. In the end, it’s not best picture worthy at all and is left with only a [6/10]. Gary Oldman’s performance did revive the film, but if he didn’t do so great this could’ve received a 3 or 4.
ok, what the fuck. i watched this film over 24 hours ago and i’m genuinely at a loss for words. i can’t actually explain what i just watched, i just can’t.
i thought the musical numbers were, fine? i guess. the animation style is different-ish. other than that the film is complete and utter shit. all of the voice acting is god awful, especially anya taylor-joy who i despise. the characters are all dumb and i hate them, no…
Surprisingly great. Phenomenally performed, especially the younger actors; very well shot; interesting, important, different storyline; hilariously written, never seems to lose its wit; it’s all nearly perfect. However, there were points where i lost my immersion with the film but that’s only a small criticism. It’s pretty great.
Also, Yorki, damn.
