Some good, some bad. I think much more of an interesting film could've been made if they focused on it as a character study instead of using some of the prescriptive plot elements. Thought their relationship was very interesting and their was certainly more than enough tension created between them to carry the film.
Really an homage to current violence of the status quo without saying anything. I did not enjoy the script. Unintentionally funny at times. I did appreciate that, although being a gritty movie, the colors weren’t ALL blue, there was SOME orange. Maybe in 5 years we can add another color from the spectrum.
Edit: there seems to be some sort of conflict between self pity, self obsession versus altruism, higher morals; especially in the scene between the Riddler and Batman but the script couldn’t support it
This is o.k. I liked some of the writing, but other times it felt clunky and pedagogical. The visuals reminded me of a lot of student films I’ve seen in my BFA program, which is o.k., but didn’t really impress me.
The message is one I mostly agree with, but it’s not something completely new to me as a museum worker. And I didn’t think they made the argument anew or more compelling. I did appreciate the story of the…
