paul? paul dano? paul dano, are you reading this? paul if you're reading this i just wanted to say hey. do you remember me? it's ok if you don't remember my name but we did meet two times. well like one and a half. one time I met you at a screening of swiss army man and I showed you some art I made. it was kind of cringey of me to do that but i was 20? and you…

Had lots of jokes rattling around in my head but I can't do it! I can't see one of my favorite movies ever on IMAX and not speak genuinely about how glorious, gratifying, and fulfilling it was. I loved seeing every single pore on David Byrne's deranged face. I loved noticing tiny details of the set, the costumes, and the instruments. I loved that every spot in my field of view was filled with magic!

Also: This Must Be the Place scene is maybe the most beautiful few minutes captured on film and seeing it on a giant screen made me very emotional. Bernie Worrell forever!

(september 2020 edit: someone made a comment a while ago saying like, “oh so violence is ok if its people you don’t like?” and I deleted it bc i didn’t want to deal with that, but I would like to clarify: yes violence against nazis is fine)
