I honestly don’t know if I can love a film anymore than I do Aliens. Yes, Alien is the shit and a horror staple. But Aliens is the best of the series for me. It fathered one of the greatest first person shooters in Halo. It also produced some of the best characters in any movie EVER. We have the most bad ass heroine in Ellen Ripley. We have the bad-assery from Corporal Hicks played by Michael Biehn and Vasquez…

My NUMERO UNO favorite horror movie of all time. Could watch this everyday of my life and NOT get bored. John Carpenter is THE master of horror. Throw in an Ennio Morricone score with Kurt Russell as Macready and voila, a masterpiece. I own three different copies of this on blu…

The runner is essentially a short movie for an album. Kind of like what Kanye did with My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. Just not as well executed and artsy. Maybe because I don’t listen to Boy Harsher? Idk, either way it was alright and that synthesized track was bangin.

Wasn’t too sure if I’d enjoy this drama but it was very real and authentic. Every individual deals with a traumatic experience in their own way, and this teenager, played by Jenna Ortega, has various ways of finding what makes her happy. Jenna Ortega has proven she has what it takes to be a star and it’s safe to say we will be seeing plenty of her in the years to come. This movie also opened up with a Juice…

Finally got around to checking this out. I really enjoyed it! It’s not exactly the scariest movie but the horror elements and the awesome setting are really great. I was really digging the black and white are the overall eerie feel. Great performances all around and just when I thought the movie wouldn’t get that dark, it did.

Mario Bava is just such a masterful filmmaker. The way this movie had such a Jim on the giallo genre is amazing. Very good camerawork and an engaging story from start to finish. I could help but think that the ending reminded me so much of Last Night in Soho, especially with the lead actresses hair and that twist at the end. It’s also cool to see Mr Cool himself, John Saxton.
