Sgt. Pepper (aka Johnny Kashmir)’s review published on Letterboxd:
My brother started reading the books, so when he decided to watch this I joined in because I haven't seen these movies in years (It also helps that Fantastic Beasts comes out soon). I was never quite as fond of this and the second movie compared to the rest of the franchise, and it translates here again. That's not to say it's a terrible movie by any means, as nostalgia filled me to a degree as I watched this film for the first time in four years. Simply put, The Sorceror's Stone (I'll always end up referring to it that way because of my American status) works as a charming little film in its own and a decent adaptation of its source material.
I intend to continue rewatching these films eventually. I probably can't fit all of them in before Fantastic Beasts due to school, though.
