Jackson’s review published on Letterboxd:
This is such a fantastic experience. Nine hours and 39 minutes of expert filmmaking that earns its reputation as one of the greatest films ever made. Makes me really want to watch more Japanese cinema or at least more films by Kobayashi. I would analyze this and go on and on about the themes but I'm dumb and wouldn't ever be able to properly write about it. All I can say is that if you have an extra 579 minutes or at least three three hour periods in consecutive days that you can use to watch this, I highly recommend it. It will drain you in every way and that is a great thing.
