A very solid, if a little lowkey film that goes utterly apeshit in the last 25 minutes. De Palma is an evil, evil man.

Heat 1995
I think the reason Heat is such a staple of Dad Cinema goes beyond Pacino and DeNiro or Mann's ferocious shoot-outs. I like to believe that at least a little bit of that reverence comes from the film's treatise on masculinity and emotional connection, though I don't think you'd get many Dads admitting it.
