Skipping the Fellini Festival to smoke atomic weed and have sex is a fantastic metaphor for my taste in film.

Say what you will about streaming and DTS releases, but films like Blonde and Damien Leone's latest Art the Clown installment make me wonder if it could be a major step towards filmmakers and studios not worrying about censorship and ratings. It's mainly the theaters that don't like the Rated X stuff and when it's on streaming now your kids can watch it without worrying about the ID! Furthermore, streaming services dedicated to horror can put whatever they want on…

Not too bad, but the gravity of its message is lost a little bit with the acting/writing that would sometimes strongly remind me of a Dhar Mann video.

My take on this the last time I watched this was a major miss and I blame Covid.

I wouldn't go as far as to put this film on the same level as Rob Zombie's Halloween II. Halloween II is a misunderstood modern masterpiece. Freddy vs. Jason is a film that caters to all my personal horror needs. One is a critically disliked masterpiece and one is a critically disliked movie that is just a very good action-horror hybrid.

"I'd done too much to turn back, and I'd done too much to go on."
A brutal coming-of-age film. An anti-Lady Bird in its realistic violence and tragic finale. Easily mistakable as a glorification of the lifestyle with its convertible Mustangs and flashy gold rims, but are the cars worth dying over?
The ending truly brought me close to tears, maybe even more so than Boyz N the Hood, an untouchable masterpiece.
